To help with streamlining offline orders…

Ensured a link to ‘Phone Order’ is available to Laura and demonstrated how it works. The reason for taking orders on the Offline Order page either when a Customer calls or visits in person is to facilitate instant communication and order confirmation with updates to the Customer.

In addition this method raises any order in the order area and allows manipulation of that order including the ability to take/request/monitor payments. Easily update or cancel an order issuing automated emails.

When a Customer calls or visits:

  • Click on the ‘Phone Order’ button to open the offline catalogue.
  • Select items to order from the equipment page with categories on the dropdown or using the search box.
  • Proceed to Checkout.

If the Customer has ordered before or has an account, easily search accounts or orders with instant results:

  • Select to populate the checkout fields.
  • Confirm information is up to date (editing info will update user).
  • Choose to email the Customer to request payment.
  • Create the order and manage as though they ordered online.
  • The Customer will get confirmation and pay.

If the Customer is new, create an account during order:

  • Complete the checkout fields by asking the Customer.
  • Choose to email the Customer to request payment.
  • Create the order and manage as though they ordered online.
  • The Customer will get welcome and confirmation emails as well as the ability to set their own account password.

All orders will be added to the current/new customer and the system will keep them informed as though they have ordered online themselves.

The Customer will have the ability to cancel their order or pay with any method they choose.

In addition all spend from offline orders will now count towards a customers discount spend total.
