The Confined Spaces regulations 1997 States that .
“Employers are required to provided such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health safety at work of employees. Specific training for work in confined spaces will depend on an individual’s previous experience and the type of work they will be doing.”
At Access Techniques we offer a course that covers the broad spectrum of work that is carried out in industrial environments. We can also specifically tailor training to the environment your employees will be working in.
Confined Space Training – Medium Risk with Escape BA
This is a one day course available for technicians with rope access experience.
Classroom and practical course covering:
- Relevant legislation
- Recognizing confined spaces
- Risk assessment/method statement
- Safe system of work/PPE/permit to work
- Communications
- Correct use of atmospheric testing equipment
- Preparation and use of escape breathing apparatus
- Vertical shaft entry using ladders
- Use of tripod and winch
- Equipment maintenance
- Emergency planning
This is a one day course.
Candidates will need to bring appropriate PPE including gloves and overalls.
Successful candidates receive a certificate valid for 3 years.
Attendee’s must be 18 years and over
