Rope Access Training to all IRATA levels
We offer rope access training to all IRATA levels every week in our Sheffield centre
What is Industrial Roped Access?
Industrial rope access system is a safe method of working at height where ropes and associated equipment are used to gain access to and from the work place, and to be supported there. This industry has an exemplary safety record since it comes from the adoption of rigorous basic principles of safety. The major advantages of such access has made this sector one of the few that are still growing in the construction industry
Why IRATA?
IRATA is the sole global trade association in the work-at-height sector; it has member companies on every continent. Industrial rope access has been developed by IRATA in the last 25 years to a point where it is the chosen means of access for much of the work in the offshore oil and gas industry as well as a range of projects in construction, civil engineering, the natural environment and much more. Its success is based on thorough training and strict working guidelines that deliver an unrivalled safe working record year after year.
ISO rope access training
For firms operating in a more limited scope of works we also offer bespoke rope access training courses following ISO standard 22846 and BS EN 7985:2013.
Confined Space training
Hazards can arise in many work areas due to their enclosed nature, either from the physical difficulty of access and egress or from the risk of trapped gases. Sometimes the risks are obvious, as with shafts, tanks and silos, but often the hazards not be so easily identified. We offer training to enable workers to identify hazard environments and approach them correctly. For more information see Confined space training
Work at Height training
Not all jobs require complex rope access techniques and for these we offer standard and bespoke work at height courses. The standard course covers legislation, job planning, safe systems of work, and use of harnesses and lanyards. Or we can deliver bespoke training tailored to the precise needs of your workforce.
